Life for Kenyan farmer George Nyongesa has changed dramatically since his animal care training. When he received his cow, he was confident he could keep her healthy, happy and productive.
Before, George had felt worthless. He was always struggling to grow food and couldn’t even afford essentials like soap and clothes for his four small children.
Now he can’t believe what his training has taught him. The manure has rejuvenated his land and there is more than enough milk to drink and sell. His income has grown from 50p a week to £8! The cow is now part of the family.
