Dairy goats are valuable assets to those with HIV/AIDS or those who can’t manage bigger livestock.

Goat’s milk is packed with nutrients and has even been proven to increase the effect of HIV/AIDS medication. Easy to look after, goats are also great for those people who are too weak to cope with anything larger, but they still ensure the family has enough milk to drink and sell, and provide plenty of manure to grow crops year on year.

Because of the nutritious benefits of the milk, the Ihuriro group in Rwanda are all healthy enough to work on their land, whereas before, many didn’t even have the strength to get up in the morning.
