Capable of carrying a reasonable weight over long distances, donkeys are vital for getting produce to market. In poor African families, ‘donkey work’ often falls to the women and children. With this gift you can free them up to work more productively in the home, on the farm or at school. The family will also receive training in how to make sure that their donkey has a good life and is fairly treated.
