Takata is an African boy's name that means 'pure'.
Takata is the representative for all the livestock that is changing lives in Africa. He's here to tell everyone how an animal or two can transform the lives of a family living in poverty. Some sheep, a goat or a cow - they can all prove to be invaluable. They provide milk to help feed parents and children and mineral rich manure to feed the soil where they grow their crops.
Takata is part of a small flock living on a farm in Ethiopia. The landscape there is dry and rocky, but Takata can always find something good to munch on – and when nature takes its course – the farmer has plenty of 'pure' fertiliser for his crops.
