Send a cow… grow a herd
Livestock provide milk to help feed families and mineral-rich manure to improve the soil and its crops. All our livestock gifts come with training in animal husbandry, nutrition and veterinary care to make sure that the animal is treated as one of the family.
Pass it on
Livestock gifts are passed on as the first female offspring is given to another family in need.

Madina received the gift of a cow and, with the manure it has produced she has managed to increase her crop yields so much that she opened up a vegetable stall outside her home. It’s the only one in her area, so she can now buy supplies off her neighbours to sell as well.
Two of her daughters died and left her with five grandchildren to care for. She then took in another orphan so now has seven mouths to feed.
With some of the money she has made from the sale of milk and vegetables she has been able to rebuild her house and send one of her surviving daughters to college to train as a nurse.
Her life really has turned around. From once struggling to feed herself, let alone having seven mouths to feed, she now has a smile from ear to ear and enough food to be able to help out her friends when they need it.
