Build an Animal Shelter
Train thirty families to build a spacious home for their animals out of simple, locally sourced materials.
A well-made animal shelter enables farmers to capture manure and urine which improves their soil and protects their crops. If livestock are kept secure, they can't stray and graze on the wrong food which can be harmful to both them and the land. Families who have built a shelter will pass on this knowledge to their neighbours and help them build one of their own.
Did you know?
A happy home for an animal means better productivity, so whether that be milk, manure, eggs or urine it all goes to improve livelihoods.
We give this gift in Uganda, Kenya, Zambia, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Lesotho and Cameroon.
